Tea and coffee breaks!

Drinking Moroccan mint tea in Toulouse-Lautrec's hometown, Albi.

Breakfast at Le Coquelicot with its usual huge bowl of coffee.

Coffee/creme-brulee break in Giverny!

Homemade confiture.

Can't say that it actually tasted like the strawberry jam it was supposed to be, but hey, got start somewhere!

Léon de Bruxelles in the St. Germain-des-Prés area!

Really good mussels, Belgian-style (despite the attempt at the mediterranean-deal).

My British house-mate from last year!

Quite pleased!

Café des Musées, le Marais.

A saumon appetizer

Fricassé of lamb rice...whatever that means...

Entrecote! aka, steak.
A rasberry tirimisiu

And good friends!

Breizh Cafe Gallettes!

Bit of Le Bretagne for you!

Coq-au-Vin, five course meal!

Alex is super excited to cook.

So excited he's playing with the chicken.

And the cooking begins!

We've added the wine...

The Michigan-styled Greek salad is ready...

Et voila! Well, without the actual chicken in the photo, but nonetheless...
Crepes for dessert! And the we'll just pretend I took a picture of the cheese platter...
And, maybe an after-dessert, dessert? Biscuits from the boulangeries of the Rue des Rosiers in the fourth.

Les Cafes!

Cafe called "le pas sage" in the Passage des Grands-Cerfs, 2nd Arrondissement, Paris. Nice word-play, eh?

Amazing bowl-cappucino from le Coquelicot in Montmartre, on the Rue des Abbesses.

Pâtisserie galore!

The Concerto from Lenôtre, an intense pâtisserie, only several minutes from my current home. If this is the "concerto" I wonder what a "symphony" would be like...

And my favorite eclairs from Stohrer--voted best eclair since like forever!

Mexico, à la française!

Mexican food in Paris is quite rare--this was as close as we got, and at an English pub, at that!

Last dinner in Marseille, first lunch in Paris.

Au revoir gorgeous Mediterranean food!

Bonjour, Paris!

Saturday morning, Aix-style.

Adventures in Moussatouille-making.

Cutting vegetables for our Moussaka, considering it was a Sunday evening and we couldn't find an open store that sold tomato sauce...
Adding the beschemelle.
Et, voila!
In the end, it looked like Moussaka, but tasted like Ratatouille. What to do? Call it Moussa-touille, of course!

Cours Julien, Marseille

If I remember correctly, this was the cactus salad? I could very well be mistaken though...

But this is most certainly a chevre-chaud!

Lovely tirimisiu with an equally cute jar to match!
And my favorite, creme brulee!

Je suis Euromed-issible!

What to do when working an administrative job? Eat croissants of course!
Well, I prefer the pain au raisins, but here's a photo of the pain au chocolat, my daily breakfast.

And for the 4th of July, French-style? Casino-bought cookies and homemade cream, topped with blueberries (a pain to find in Marseille) and a single strawberry!

The best and cheapest chinese/vietnamese/japanese food in Avignon, France!

Exhausted after a long day of trying to find lavender fields and failing miserably. At least the food cheered me up!
A closer look at the amazing food recommended to us by our hotel manager.

And for dessert? Breaded banana in soaked in caramel.

Drinking break

A much needed expresso in Avignon.

A well-deserved happy hour in Arles--mojito for me!

And one of my favorites in Nice--bailey's coffee!
